Ideal, Light and Fast Dinner Option for Busy Moms




Hello moms. As you can see my recent posts, (especially recipes) are easy, short in preparation and tasty. As a mom of three kids (one under month old) I literally have zero time to myself and everything I am doing have to be planned, organized and easy in preparation.


This tuna pasta bake is all of that. Is ready under 20 minutes, easy to prepare, tastes amazing (my kids love it), it is also healthy and not so heavy on calories (yey).


Let’s have a closer look.


This tuna pasta bake contains many proteins (mostly from soft cheese) but also from tuna, fiber, minerals and vitamins from tomatoes and basil, and carbs as energy source.

Serves 5          prep time: 10 minutes       cook time; 15-20 min




  • 3 cans tuna in spring water
  • 2 soft cheese (low fat if possible)
  • 4 tomatoes
  • 1 tbsp of chopped basil
  • 2 cups of dry pasta
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • Cheese- ½ cup – go for low fat cheese




  • Start by cooking al dente your pasta in slightly salted water. Optionally add 1 flat tsp of butter into cooking water if you want to prevent pasta from getting sticky


  • when ready drain water from it and leave it on side for moment


  • Meanwhile in mixing bowl mix together drained from water tuna, soft cheese and basil. All ingredients should be well mixed.


  • Next, add pas


  • Preheat oven to 200 degrees.


  • On the bottom of baking tray, place half of pasta. Then layer of chopped tomatoes and again the rest of tuna pasta.


  • Sprinkle top of everything with cheese.


  • Bake in oven for maximum of 15-20 minutes or until cheese melts.

This dinner will keep you full for long time and it is great post workout option (especially after heavy training day).


Ladies I like it because all ingredients to this recipe are always in your kitchen and you can prepare it in the matter of few minutes.
