Sweet Cherry Rolls
Twisted rolls with cherries and mascarpone
Yes, finely recipe that I did not mess up. Seriously this is the first time ever I have manage to make rolls and they tasted amazing. Simple, low sugar with endless filling options.
Ingredients;
- 2 cups flour
- 1,5 tsp dry yeast
- 1 cup warm milk
- 2 tbsp soft butter
- 2 yolks
- ½ cup sugar
- Pinch of salt
- 1,5 cup mascarpone or ricotta
- 2 tsp icing sugar
- 2 cups cherries
Directions;
- In small, pot warm up milk and butter. Stir until butter melts.
- Into mixing bowl put yeast , flour, sugar, salt and mix together.
- Add warm milk into mixing bowl and stir until dough is well done and not sticky.
- Form bowl, cower mixing bowl with clean kitchen towel and put aside in warm place for 30 minutes.
- Meanwhile in another bowl mix mascarpone or ricotta with egg yolks and sugar. Mix carefully until smooth.
- Lay baking tray with baking paper.
- Roll dough into rectangle Shape.
- Spread cheese mass on all dough surface and then place cherries. Roll dough, cut into smaller peaces and place on baking paper.
- Cover with kitchen towel and leave to grow for 30 minutes.
- Bake in previously preheated oven for 20 minutes.
