Strawberry Basil Smoothie

Getting right stuff first thing in the morning may be impossible, especially when we are trying to spend every precious minute in the bed. Usually we will end up getting something on the run, like two days old muffin or an old bagel. Disgusting. Do you really want to start your day by stuffing yourself with such awful food?
Hey, you know what it doesn’t have to be that way. I am telling you, you can stay in the bed as long as you want and yet, enjoy healthy, energy boosting breakfast.
My strawberry basil smoothie, you can prepare day before and store in the fridge in one of those fancy bottles. In the morning just grab one of those and you are ready to go, drinking on your way to subway.
This smoothie is not just quick, but also will give you good protein portion for a good start, will boost your metabolism and energy, and will detox your body.
Ingredients;
- 1 cup of strawberries
- Handful of fresh basil
- 1 cottage cheese
- ½ cup of almond milk
- 1 banana ( may be frozen)
- 1 teaspoon of flaxseeds
Directions:
- simply blend everything in the blender until smooth
- you may add few ice cubes if you are preparing it right before drinking
