  • 2 ½ cup prawns
  • 2 ½ cup chicken stock
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 3 garlic cloves, peeled and crushed
  • 1 cup basmati rice
  • 1 tsp curry powder
  • 1 bay leave
  • Pinch of cinnamon
  • Pinch of cardamom
  • ½ cup frozen peas
  • 1 lemon juice
  • Fresh parsley and coriander
  • 1 tbsp almond flakes
  • Salt and pepper for seasoning
  • 1 tsp coconut oil or olive oil





  • Prepare vegetables. Peel onion and garlic. Chop onion and crush garlic cloves.
  • Heat up frying pan with coconut oil and cook onion on medium heat for 8-10 minutes. Keep steering. Add garlic and curry powder. A drop of water is ok when onion starts burning.
  • Add the rice, bay leaves, pinch of cinnamon, cardamom, salt. Add prawns and chicken stock (vegetable stock is fine too). On medium or small heat cook covered for additional 10-15 minutes.
  • At the end of cooking, add peas. Cover and cook for another 4-5 minutes.
  • Just before serving squeeze in lemon juice, add parsley and coriander. Decorate with almond flakes.
