My best memory is when our grandma was taking us to local ice cream shop for a scoop or two. That was our Sunday tradition. We all would sit outside in rattan chairs under massive summer umbrella watching people walking by while digging into ice creams.

That ice cream shop was a small, family business and I have to say, they truly mastered ice cream recipes. Even though place wasn’t big they took care of customers. My grandma was not allowed diary by medical reasons and always need to pay attention to what she was eating.

I remember that lovely owner creating ice-creams especially to my gran so she could eat them guilt free. Years later I have learnt their recipe. It was so simple and yet you were never able to tell the difference between them and an ordinary sugar and diary based ice-creams.

Now, I make them for my kids, and today I will share this recipe with you.

You don’t need any fancy equipment or expensive ingredients.

Traditional ice-cream is made from heavy cream or milk but my recipe is fruit based. I use bananas to add that creamy texture to my ice creams. You might say it is not a real ice cream and you are right. This is lighter, healthier, weight loss friendly and guilt free recipe.
