Protein- packed Halloween Treats
Happy Halloween everyone!
Do you still have big kid inside and like to treat yourself with something sweet? I am, so I have something sweet like this shake from time to time.
Don’t be fooled. It just looks sugary but is 100% safe (almost) – apart from marshmallows.
Ingredients;
- 1 cup low fat coconut milk
- 1 scoop vanilla whey protein powder
- 1 banana
- ½ teaspoon rich cocoa powder
- 1 teaspoon honey
- 1 tablespoon dry coconut (shredded)
- 1 tablespoon marshmallows – for topping
- 1 tablespoon natural yogurt
- ½ cup ice cubes
Directions;
- mix together milk, banana, cocoa powder, honey, ice cubes and protein powder in a blender
- blend for 2 minutes
- pour into glass. Place yogurt on the top. Sprinkle with marshmallows, coconut and some cocoa powder.
Option 2;
Pumpkin shake
Vegan, gluten free, sugar free
Make it from Halloween pumpkin leftovers.
Ingredients;
- 1 cup pumpkin pure
- ½ cup ice cubes
- 1 banana
- ½ cup natural yogurt
- ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
- ½ cup milk
- 1 scoop vanilla protein powder – optional
- ¼ teaspoon nutmeg
- Pinch of cinnamon
Blend all ingredients for 2 minutes. Once poured into a glass decorate with yogurt and sprinkle with cinnamon.
