Minty Red Currant Banana Protein Smoothie
Hello world. Are you enjoying lovely autumn weather? We are truly spoiled this year in Scotland. It is probably the sunniest and warmer September we had in here in almost 10 years. Truly amazing.
There are beautiful red and yellow colours everywhere and that includes my plate. I mean I am really enjoying September this year.
With such a nice time crazy ideas come to my head like making red currant smoothie the other day. I have to confess this was the first time ever I made smoothie with red currants.
To be honest I have never, even considered doing it before. Red currant meant to be used as cake fillings, right?
So, here I am sipping freshly made red currant smoothie. It tastes great. I think I will have this combo a little bit more often from now on. It was so good, that I actually frozen batch of red currants for my winter smoothes and desserts.
I give you a little tip. Freeze some red currants now and add them later to your fish and poultry dishes. They would create perfect combo.
What is even more appealing about red currants is that they are Vitamin C bombs. A little something to keep your skin glowing, be healthy and beautiful.
To make it sweeter I am mixing them with banana. It will break their tangy flavour. With some fresh mint and yogurt added to it you will create perfect and nutritious smoothie.
For all muscle builders add one scoop of protein powder into it to create an awesome protein shake.
