Milky Rice with Cinnamon and Apples


Imagine hot apples with raisins, cooked milky rice and a touch of cinnamon. Delicious, light, simple meal that you can easily tuck under breakfast, lunch or even dessert box.  It will fit just all of them.




Serves 4


  • 1 cup dry rice
  • 1 cup of water
  • 1 cup of natural yogurt
  • ½ cup of milk
  • 5-6 apples
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 2 teaspoons raisins




  • Bring slightly salted water to boil and cook rice until half –done.
  • At the end of cooking when most of the water is absorbed, pour in milk and keep on heat for few more minutes.
  • When ready set it on side
  • Peal apples and cut them into tiny cubes. Put them in small pot with just a touch of water (2-3 spoons) and cook for 5-10 minutes. Add some cinnamon and raisins.
  • Just before serving mix rice with yogurt.
  • Ready rice put in bowls, then roasted apples on the top of it and sprinkle all with some cinnamon.
