Milky Rice with Cinnamon and Apples
Imagine hot apples with raisins, cooked milky rice and a touch of cinnamon. Delicious, light, simple meal that you can easily tuck under breakfast, lunch or even dessert box. It will fit just all of them.
Ingredients;
Serves 4
- 1 cup dry rice
- 1 cup of water
- 1 cup of natural yogurt
- ½ cup of milk
- 5-6 apples
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 2 teaspoons raisins
- Bring slightly salted water to boil and cook rice until half –done.
- At the end of cooking when most of the water is absorbed, pour in milk and keep on heat for few more minutes.
- When ready set it on side
- Peal apples and cut them into tiny cubes. Put them in small pot with just a touch of water (2-3 spoons) and cook for 5-10 minutes. Add some cinnamon and raisins.
- Just before serving mix rice with yogurt.
- Ready rice put in bowls, then roasted apples on the top of it and sprinkle all with some cinnamon.
