Get rid of your lines following those simple tips.
Stretch marks, do you hate them or love them? Do you have any or your body is smooth like baby butt?
Unfortunately, there is no golden rule of who will get them or will by lucky enough to never see them.
Stretch marks may occur when your body is suddenly growing.
It may happen;
- during pregnancy
- during puberty, when you are growing really fast
- during rapid weight-gain
Why does it happen to you?
Genetics have a lot to do with it. If your mom had them you might too.
You are not doomed though and there is hope, ladies. Ok, you are pregnant and you are scared that those lines will come. There are few things to prevent stretch marks to appear.
- Moisturise your skin
During pregnancy as your belly will grow, your skin will stretch a lot. It will be under a lot of pressure. So moisture it every day or even few times a day.
Put moisturiser on your;
- your breasts
- your thighs
- your hips
- your belly
Not every moisturiser is good for your skin. Your best options are;
- Baby olive oil
- Olive oil
- Coconut oil – is one of the best stretch marks prevention tools. It is full of saturated fatty acids. Don’t just apply it on your skin; use it in your kitchen too. You will preserve your body from inside and outside.
- Aloe vera
- Glycolic acid- it is safe to use during pregnancy. This product will stimulate collagen production and will make your skin more elastic. That will prevent stretch marks to appear.
- Vitamin E oil
- Essential oil – mix them with coconut oil, make a mixture and apply on your skin. Lavender, rose and geranium.
2.Eat food high in Vitamin C – think of;
- kale
- oranges
- green peppers
- parsley greens
- broccoli
3.Eat skin nourishing diet– think of products such as;
- avocados
- pineapple
- oranges
- spinach
- leafy greens
All those products will make your skin more elastic.
4.Control your weight gain
Too fast weight gain may result in developing stretch marks. To prevent that, eat healthy, balanced meals.
- eat only when you feel hungry
- stop eating when you feel full
- drink before, during and after your meal
- fruit infused water – my suggestion ”orange infused water”
5. Massage your skin
Use washcloth or body brush to stimulate skin blood flow. Better circulation will prevent those stretch marks by keeping your skin elastic.
If your stretch marks are already there;
- bio-oils
Are amazing in fading existing stretch marks
- Do not use cocoa butter to prevent or reduce stretch marks.
TIPS;
- healthy diet full of healthy fruit and veggies will strengthen your skin, making it more flexible
- drink plenty – hydrated skin is more flexible and elastic. Try to drink 10 glasses of water daily.
- exercise – regular physical activity is proven to make your skin more elastic, stretched, stronger.
- stretch classes
- yoga classes
- dancing
- swimming
- weight training
Exercising will help skin to remain its elasticity. Activities will help you to avoid gaining too much weight.
4. Eat gelatine – gelatine is high in collagen, which has major impact on skin elasticity. Consume gelatine in powdered form.
Fighting stretch marks might be simple. Try to prevent them in the first place and then do anything you can to make them be less visible. Forget about sun bathing, stay slim and eat healthy. are you ready to take challenge?
