Fast and Fantastic Grilled Spicy Chicken Wings
With summer in its full swing right now I love every minute of it. Weather is not kind for us (Scottish brothers and sisters you know what I am talking about) and any glimpse of sun is good reason to barbeque. Last two weeks I could smell people barbequing on every corner so I did follow their steps last weekend.
I have had few lovely visitors and one especially warm day.
Cold beer chilling in the fridge, girls wearing aprons moving around kitchen and boys playing with fire… Yes, Boys will be boys. You have the picture.
On menu we had; baked fish, baked sweet potatoes, baked paprika’s and other vegetables, marinated chicken and my favourite spicy chicken wings.
Ingredients;
- 2 kg (35 oz) of chicken wings
- 2 garlic cloves
- Salt
- Pepper
- 1 onion; chopped
- Olive oil; 2 table spoons
- Parsley; fresh (a handful)
Directions;
- Prepare chicken marinate few hours before barbeque. Peal of garlic cloves and cut them into tiny bits.
- In mixing bowl combine together garlic, salt, pepper, olive oil, freshly chopped parsley and onion.
- Wash and dry chicken wing and then mix with marinate. Leave on the side for minimum 2-3 hours (yes, fridge is a good place for that)
- When your barbecue is ready, place chicken wings (the best on kitchen trey to avoid burning). Keep on barbeque for 15 minutes. Check and if they still need time turn them over on other side. Keep additional 5 minutes.
They came out light, juicy, perfect finger food (definitely my kind of food). Love them. You can go messy and it is ok.
