I find myself extremely lucky that I do what I do for living. Being fitness instructor is my choice, my passion and my lifestyle. Exercise and fitness is huge part of my life not only because it is my job but also because of what it does to my body and me.

Exercising helps me to relax; calm down, relive stress, feel amazing and most importantly exercise time is my “me “time, something I do alone.

Yes, you are putting 110% of your effort toward your kids and finding even 10 minute for a workout a day could be a big struggle. The last thing you want to do is to drag yourself at 5AM every day to exercise. No way. How then?

Here are 5 fitness strategies for busy mom’s on how to find time to exercise;

  1. Schedule your exercise as part of your day

You write down in your calendar or organizer kid’s appointments, extra activities and clubs, your dental appointments. Put in there your exercise time as well. Plan and schedule. Once down on a paper your family will know when you are exercising and they will help.

  1. Get your family involved

My husband knows how exercise is important to me, so when I jump around in living room for 20 minutes he reads books with kids. My little ones are super excited about “story time” with dad and I have my time to relax.

  1. Go easy

There will be days when finding 1 hour or even 30 minutes to exercise will be massive problem. That is ok. Make your workout 10 minutes long with no rest time. Be flexible, take it easy and don’t stress out.

  1. Take what you have

Unexpected things happen: kids not being well, extra work commitment, unscheduled family/friends visit etc. All of above might totally ruin your plan. So what? You don’t have to do workouts every day. Your family arrived so take them for walk or to the playground with kids. Instead of watching your kids playing get involved. Run with them, climb with them and jump on trampoline. Fun and workout at the same time. Problem solved.

  1. Get creative

There is no way you can exercise alone; kids are at home and are shadowing you everywhere. That is ok. Put on TV music channel, dance workout on DVD and dance with your kids. Get them involved. They will be more than happy to jump on board.

You see, you can find 20 minutes a day, easily. I know asking for more is just pushing luck and that is why I am doing quick, effective 20 minute whole body circuit training at home.
