Beans in Tomato Sauce


Who doesn’t like them? There is no better meal for the last winter day In February. Have you ever tried to make it yourself?


Beans in cans are packed with salt, sugar and chemicals.


I am always saying, it is the best if you will make it from the scratch so you know exactly what you are eating.


This particular recipe is easy and delicious. I am making it with sausages.

  • 2 cups of dry red kidney beans
  • 3 tbsp tomato pure
  • 2 tomatoes
  • 4 garlic cloves
  • ½ onion
  • 2 tbsp marjoram
  • Pinch of salt and pepper
  • 2 tbsp chopped parsley
  • 1 ½ cup sliced sausages
  • 4 bay leaves





  • Put dry beans in pot. Cover with cold water and leave overnight
  • Next day drain water and add fresh one (enough to keep them covered)
  • Add bay leaves and cook on small heat for 30 minutes
  • Meanwhile chop onion, slice sausages
  • On frying pan cook them together for five minutes on small heat
  • All of that add to beans, along with tomato pure
  • During cooking if necessary, you may need to add some extra water if necessary
  • Cook until beans will turn soft]on the end of cooking add marjoram and fresh parsley
